Privacy Policy

Interim notice — alpha period. Writano is in invite-only alpha. The data-handling practices that apply to you during the alpha are described in §§ 5 and 9 of the Alpha Tester Agreement. A standalone Privacy Policy will be published here before General Availability.

The Writano service is operated by ATOMIRA TECHNOLOGIES, S.L. (CIF B27662717), Calle Lepant 270, 08013 Barcelona, Spain. Atomira is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the alpha.

What we currently collect (alpha)

Account data: your email, optional name, OAuth-provider identifiers if you sign in with Google, GitHub, or ORCID.
Documents and project content you create or upload, stored in our PostgreSQL database on Hetzner infrastructure in the EU.
Operational activity logs covering sign-in, document and compile events, share and ticket actions, plan changes — used to debug issues during the alpha. IP addresses are stored hashed (SHA-256). See § 9.1 of the Alpha Tester Agreement for the full list and retention.

Your rights

Under the EU GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Email hello@writano.com and we will respond within 30 days. For complaints, the relevant supervisory authority in Spain is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
